Online education in today’s higher education landscape is increasingly becoming a development model that goes beyond the question of accessibility and places quality, pedagogical design and a student-centred approach at the forefront. In the age of artificial intelligence, this is also raising new questions about learning, teaching, student support, and the testing and assessment of knowledge.

FROM ACCESSIBILITY TO EXCELLENCE: ONLINE EDUCATION IN THE AGE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: Global Trends and Practices and Development Approaches at DOBA University of Applied Sciences
The round table highlighted key global trends and practices while also presenting the development approaches of DOBA University of Applied Sciences in the field of high-quality online education. Higher education lecturers from DOBA UAS presented how the institution is responding to contemporary challenges in higher education through the development of didactic approaches, support models and research-based solutions.
Particular emphasis was placed on testing and assessing knowledge in the age of AI, research into the impact of online study on students’ mental health and wellbeing, as well as the student perspective as an important aspect of understanding the quality of online study.
