Example Course Structure

Technical Equipment Requirements for Online Study

To participate in online study programmes (students) and to deliver educational activities (teachers, lecturers and online mentors), users must have their own computer equipment that enables uninterrupted access to the student information system, online learning environment, videoconferencing tools and other digital services.

Minimum Technical Requirements

A modern personal computer (desktop or laptop), generally no more than five years old.
Windows 11 or one of the latest three major versions of macOS that Apple officially continues to support with security updates. Computers running Linux are not supported.
The latest version of a supported web browser (Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome).
A stable broadband internet connection that enables reliable data transmission and submission of coursework and other materials.
A microphone and speakers, or a headset with a microphone, for participation in online meetings.
A webcam (built-in or USB). Important: An external USB webcam is mandatory for online tests, examinations and other forms of assessment where identity verification is required. Built-in webcams are not supported for this purpose.
A smartphone (Android or iOS) for using a multi-factor authentication application (e.g. Microsoft Authenticator).
The ability to install and use software required for the study process, including administrator privileges on the computer.

Users are required to ensure that:

the operating system is regularly updated with the latest security and feature updates;
software and applications used in the study process are regularly updated;
active antivirus protection and other available security measures are enabled.

The provision and maintenance of appropriate equipment, internet connectivity and the required software are the responsibility of the student or the provider of the educational process.
