On 1 and 2 October 2026, the Management Congress 2026, Slovenia’s leading business event, will take place in Portorož. This year, the focus will be on a new intelligence of leadership – combining artificial and human intelligence with responsibility, courage and vision.
Among the speakers will be Assoc. Prof. Dr Gorazd Justinek, Dean of DOBA University of Applied Sciences. In his presentation entitled “AI Is Not a Technology Project. It Is a Test of Leadership.”, he will present the findings of the DOBA AI Maturity Index (DAIMI) and address one of today’s key management questions: why success in implementing artificial intelligence depends not primarily on technology, but on organisational maturity and the quality of leadership.
“AI is becoming less and less a technological issue and increasingly a management issue. It requires leadership teams to set clear priorities, change processes, develop employees’ competences and, above all, answer the question of where artificial intelligence can genuinely create value for the organisation,” emphasises Dr Justinek.
His contribution directly reflects the central theme of the Management Congress 2026, which, against the backdrop of major technological, geopolitical and demographic changes, will explore new leadership models and bring together business, science, politics and technology experts. Speakers will also include Slovenian and international leaders and experts in artificial intelligence, the future of work, strategic development and sustainable business.
