DOBA University of Applied Sciences – Partner of the Leadership Activation Summit

On 1 and 2 October 2026, the Leadership Activation Summit will take place at Thermana Laško, a two-day international business conference for entrepreneurs, directors, leaders, decision-makers and everyone who wants to lead their organisations successfully through a period of rapid change.

The central question of this year’s Summit is: How to succeed in any economy?

Today, this question goes far beyond business strategy alone. It requires the ability to lead people through uncertainty, recognise new opportunities, understand the changes brought about by artificial intelligence, build strong business networks and at the same time create growth that is sustainable in the long term for the people who make it possible. This is precisely why the themes of the Leadership Activation Summit are closely connected with the areas developed by DOBA: leadership, entrepreneurship, business development, innovation and lifelong learning.

Over two days, up to 500 entrepreneurs, business owners, directors, leaders, investors and change-makers will come together in one place. The Summit is designed as a space for gaining new knowledge, as well as for creating new business connections, partnerships and opportunities for future growth.

Keynote Speakers

The keynote speakers will include:

• Bill Walsh – founder and CEO of Powerteam International and an internationally recognised business strategist. In his three-hour practical session, he will focus on business growth strategies, internationalisation, positioning, building strategic partnerships and creating new business opportunities even in challenging economic conditions.
• Sir Kaya Redford – international entrepreneur, investor and expert in leadership and high performance. His three-hour session will focus on developing leadership capacity, decision-making, personal responsibility and a leader’s ability to perform effectively in times of uncertainty and change.

The programme will also be enriched by perspectives on leadership, business growth, visibility, marketing and sustainable success from Angel Tuccy, Niurka, Kaly Kolonič, Dr Neja Zupan, Dr Pavla Križman Lavrič, Peter Slapšak and other guests.

The Leadership Activation Summit is being brought to Slovenia by Dr Neja Zupan and Dr Pavla Križman Lavrič, with the aim of creating an environment in which Slovenian and European entrepreneurs and leaders can access international knowledge, people and business networks for which they often travel to the USA, Dubai, Singapore and other global business hubs.
