When Theory Meets Practice: Guest Lecture by Ksenija Brnat, Marketing Director at AWT International, as Part of the Global Marketing Course

At DOBA University of Applied Sciences, we systematically ensure that the study process is closely connected with the business sector, as we believe that modern marketing requires more than just an understanding of theory. We regularly establish cooperation with companies and build partnerships that give students direct contact with real business practices. In this spirit, a guest lecture will take place at the end of June, in the evening, as part of the Global Marketing course, led by Dr Tanja Rihtaršič. The lecture will be intended exclusively for students of the bachelor programme Marketing, Social Media and Public Relations.

The guest speaker, Ksenija Brnat, Marketing Director at AWT International, will give students an insight into the work of an international distributor and its increasingly strategic role in the global environment. Through practical insights, she will show how distributors today actively contribute to shaping market strategies, developing brands, and adapting communication and offers to different markets. Their role goes beyond traditional logistics and includes an in-depth understanding of consumers, managing relationships with partners, and collecting valuable market data that guides further business decisions.

Such meetings enable students to understand the complexity of international business and see how theoretical concepts are applied in practice. At the same time, they develop the competences that are key to success in modern marketing – from strategic thinking to adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.

The guest lecture is another example of a study experience that goes beyond traditional frameworks and offers dynamic, up-to-date and, above all, practical knowledge. It also sends a clear message to everyone considering enrolment:

Studying at DOBA University of Applied Sciences means active learning, closely connected with the real business world, and preparation for the concrete challenges that await in the labour market.
