As part of the STEP+ Erasmus project, led by DOBA University of Applied Sciences, project partners met at the end of September for a productive and inspiring project meeting at UVic – Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya in Spain.
Together with partners from FH Münster, Arteveldehogeschool, University of Bacau and UVic, they discussed findings from focus groups with students before, during and after international mobility, as well as with staff supporting mobility.
Particular attention was drawn to a presentation by partners from Arteveldehogeschool, who are developing ideas for using virtual reality (VR) to support students at different stages of their mobility experience.
The hosts also prepared an authentic Catalan experience, giving participants the opportunity to discover the historic city of Vic and take part in a team-building activity inspired by the Human Towers – castells tradition.
The meeting concluded with many new ideas and renewed energy for further work on the STEP+ project and for developing solutions that will help students have a higher-quality international mobility experience.
