A Summer of Solidarity: Creating Brighter Stories for Children and Young People

At DOBA University of Applied Sciences, we are continuing the Four Seasons of Solidarity project, through which we aim to contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate society throughout the year. This summer, we dedicated this part of the project to children and young people who, due to various life circumstances, often do not have the chance to enjoy carefree holidays.

We believe that every child deserves a sense of belonging, safety and the opportunity to create beautiful summer memories. That is why we once again supported organisations whose work makes an important difference in the lives of young people:

• We supported Maribor Youth Home (Mladinski dom Maribor) by enabling holidays for two children or young people.
• We donated funds to the Association of Friends of Youth Maribor (Zveza prijateljev mladine) to help provide summer holidays for two children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Through a donation to the Botrstvo project (Projekt Botrstvo), we enabled year-round support for five children and young people facing hardship.

At DOBA University of Applied Sciences, we know that even small actions can make a big difference. Through this solidarity project, we want not only to help, but also to encourage a culture of cooperation, empathy, and social responsibility.

Summer is a time of new experiences, friendships and relaxed moments. We are happy that we can help co-create some of these stories.
