Alumni Story

Boštjan Gorenšek

Breadth of Knowledge as the Foundation for Creativity and Digital Transformation

Boštjan, Adviser to the Minister for Digitalisation and AI, Ministry of Agriculture, joined the study programme with the aim of building on his existing knowledge. He wanted to understand the bigger picture – how organisations work, how communication takes place, how ideas are put into practice and how knowledge can become the basis for tangible change.

Above all, his studies broadened his perspective. He learnt to connect different fields, understand processes as a whole and recognise the importance of communication, organisation and strategic thinking when introducing new solutions.

Today, his work brings together digital transformation, AI, the public sector and the development challenges of the future. He applies his knowledge when planning projects, working with different stakeholders, understanding users’ needs and finding solutions that are not only technologically advanced, but also practical, clear and achievable.

His career shows that studying provides an excellent foundation for working in digitalisation, development, innovation and AI – wherever people, ideas, data and the future need to be brought together.

His greatest personal insight? Choosing to study was not merely a formality. It was a step towards greater maturity, responsibility and confidence when taking on new challenges. Today, I believe that every experience has something to offer – provided you are willing to embrace it. His message is:

Always look on the bright side of life.

Boštjan completed the bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a master’s degree in International Innovative Business Management.
