Šárka Waisová is an associate professor in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic). Previously she worked at universities in Hungary and Taiwan. She has received various research awards and fellowships such as the Cabada-Europe Award and Taiwan Fellowship. She has published books and articles on human security, environmental peacebuilding and Czech foreign policy. Between 2018 and 2023 she supported the analytical unit of the Department of Economic and Science Diplomacy, Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 2024 she is the Senior Strategy and Legislation Specialist in The Czech Hydrogen Technology Platform (HYTEP).
